Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you would join a versatile team of engineers (optical, mechanical and material) in the R&D department on various projects contributing to the product development of plastic components in the field of fiber optics telecommunications.

Your tasks include :

• Create a conceptual and modular design
• Create the complex models and structures in Creo
• Assess the design by analysing the FEA calculations
• Work together with the lab to create the prototypes
• Document drawings and design reviews as well as plans and requirements

• Master in Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge in Creo
• Skilled in plastic parts and injection molding
• Experience in manufacturing and assembly processes
• A good working knowledge of FEA and analytical modeling is a plus.
• Knowledge of LEAN and/or 6- sigma is a plus
• A communicative and proactive personality, with a knack for problem solving
• Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
