Carlos Vinas, Consultant Satellite Testing 

In the summer of 2024, Carlos Vinas decided to move to Belgium to launch his career as a Satellite test engineer at Redwire Space. 

Together with two other consultants at VeroTech, the team is focusing on two specific satellites. Their first focus is on Altius, a Belgian led ESA mission to monitor the stratosphere and to keep an eye on the ozone layer. The second focus is on the satellite IOD, which provides a testing platform for different hardware and clients. In his role as a test engineer, Carlos oversees testing the satellite hardware and payloads, both separately and integrated. After the testing phase is done, the idea is for Carlos to transition into more of an Operations engineer role and operate the satellite before, during and after launch.
